Wont absolute urls break browsing the documentation on a local filesystem?

Apologies for the long delay in getting MkDocs rolling again. Much thanks to @d0ugal of course for that. Happy to discuss if we've not handling linking right, but lets do that in the context of:

• Pulling together comprehensive docs about how interlinking in MkDocs works.
• Fixing any obviously broken existing stuff, eg Allow absolute URLs #192.
• Discussion on alternate as last point of call, and avoiding any configuration options if at all possible.
