Due to technical limitations, links are currently only added when the signature is separated from the heading, see https://mkdocstrings.github.io/python/usage/configuration/signatures/#separate_signature. |

I'll have to refresh my memory by looking at the code, but from memory it was much harder to output links into inline code / headings, and would have required that we provide our own CSS classes and styling, like I think Sphinx is doing. Now that I think about it, our new utilities to format code blocks while adding links could maybe be updated to support inline code without too much trouble 🤔 You can open a feature request if you want! |
