Adding the 64-bit Intel C compiler seems correct to be and can't break anything. The only thing I'm not sure about is if it's okay to hardcode -fPIC for the 32-bit compiler. I searched the mailing list, and there seem to be only problems when it's missing - it's always required for a shared library. But if this is a problem, then I think the rest can still be applied.
