I changed the sphinx theme, mostly to remove the alabaster navigation bar. One thing which we had with alabaster and don't have with the bootstrap theme is the google analytics option. We can probably add it to the bootstrap layout template. See https://github.com/ryan-roemer/sphinx-bootstrap-theme, "extending layout" paragraph.
