Description
Describe the bug
If I understood correctly the developer API for tags, input_tags.sparse
tells us whether an estimator can accept sparse data or not. For many estimators it seems that input_tags.sparse
is False but should be True.
Steps/Code to Reproduce
from sklearn.linear_model import LinearRegression
from sklearn.utils import get_tags
reg = LinearRegression()
tags = get_tags(reg)
tags.input_tags.sparse
Expected Results
True
as LinearRegression
accepts sparse input data.
Actual Results
False
