WinPython 2016-01 release (February 9th, 2015)

Features:

• Highlight:
  • Jupyter Notebook 4.1 / Ipython 4.1.1 ('Search & replace' and 'run_all' options), bokeh 0.11.0
  • numpy 1.10.4 and numba 0.23.1 now allows usage of '@' multiplicator for WinPython 3.5
  • two icons change:
    • "Spyder (reset)" replaces "Spyder (light)",
    • "IDLEX" superseds "IDLE"
  • WinPython 3.5 now also in 32 bit version
• New packages:
  • data visualization: ptpython, IDLEX
  • data acquisition: pyreadline

  • still no mingwpy for python 3.5, but ongoing progress: https://mingwpy.github.io
  • still older numba 0.20.0 in WinPython 3.4, to spare users the "vs 2015 runtime"
