Angela Scheres
I have a passion for learning, and earned an M.S. in Victim Services Management at Sam Houston State University and an M.A.in Social & Behavioral Health at Whitworth University. The majority of my working life has been in service of others in some capacity. I have spent many years working in the animal welfare field, which enabled me to assist people of many different cultures and backgrounds. During my years working with the public in a law enforcement capacity as an animal control officer, I frequently helped people find resources for both themselves and their pets.
After beginning my first master's program, I knew it was time to broaden my horizon, and begin working with the population I intend serve. I began working in a treatment facility that assists individuals with both mental health and substance use disorders.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP), and Mental Health Professional (MHP) in Washington State. I would like to continue my education, and work towards a doctorate in the field of psychology, as well at teach at the college level, so I can help others further their education and increase their knowledge, as I continue my lifelong goal to increase my own.

Harry Potter takes us through the entire range of human emotions: love, joy, surprise, anger, fear, and sadness; and, though most readers may not be consciously aware of the emotional rollercoaster they embark on with Harry and his friends, they share the characters' experiences, because they, too, enter the magical world and join in on the adventures.
Bettelheim reveals that "a child's emotions and interpretations of such passages change from day to day- as family feelings and relationships change- and each time she deals with them they are invested with new meaning. Thus the ever-changing magic of Harry Potter is in the magic of the child's own experiences, feeling, and imagination".
Harry Potter shares the themes and features of canonical novels, such as Oliver Twist, shares joy and tragedy, helps us learn to cope with death and loss by working through grief and emotional trauma.
