If you want to see the finished result, I will share it to my story for the first 24 hours that this reel is up! Past that- you can scroll back on my reels page to see it 🫧 🫧I only do this on bisque (water will break down greenware) 🫧Foaming hand soap works better for some reason 🫧 I usually rebisque the pot, then glaze it to avoid smearing the underglaze! Bubble glazing is a technique that creates a textured, bubbly surface on pottery.

Materials Needed: Bisqued pottery piece, underglaze, soap, water, cup, straw

Step 1: make sure the piece is clean by wiping it down with a damp sponge to remove any dust or debris.

Step 2: mix underglaze, soap, and a bit of water into a uniform solution.

Step 3: blow bubbles into the solution using a straw, letting the bubbles overflow over the cup and onto the piece. Set it aside and let the bubble magic happen. The bubbles will pop on their own.

Step 4: Let the underglaze dry by a fan. When dry, dip in clear glaze.
