Little G got to practice her emotional intelligence skills this morning by sorting sad and happy faces. So interesting how difficult it is for her to recognize sad faces when it does not involve crying! Thanks to The Princess and the Tot for inspiring this fun activity! This activity provides a great opportunity to learn about and recognise emotions. Pointing out what each expression could mean (angry, silly, sad etc) is a great way to reinforce the meaning/emotion behind the faces and ultimately help your toddler identify and express their own feelings. 

It's also great for fine motor development, colour recognition, focus & concentration, and language development!
