Jamie Walton | Nettles & Petals on Instagram: "Top Tips for Growing Great Celery 🌱  Celery is a staple in my vegetable garden, but it can be a little tricky to grow and the seeds are small and take quite a while to germinate. So, I sow them into open trays instead of individual pots or modules.   I just sprinkle them on top of the surface and add a very fine layer of compost as celery seeds actually require light to properly germinate. 🌱  I water them in well and then add a humidity dome to lock in that moisture. Im growing my favourite variety ‘tall Utah’ as well as a red and pink variety. 💦🌿  Within a few weeks they should germinate at which point I prick them out by gently prizing them apart and adding them to an individual module to grow on.
