Last week on MERRICKSART.com I shared a breakdown of shirt tucking, not tucking, and half tucking examples, but I think it’s always helpful to see the principles in action! For peplum, empire waist tops, and long tunic tops, keep them UNTUCKED! They create fabric pooches or too much bulk when you half or fully tuck, so keep them out! Ziba Lennox Style on Instagram: "Sick of the French Tuck? 💔It’s a classic when you need to hide a muffin top (or have ill fitting pants) or wearing a coat the whole time!

For a more “WAISTED” look, check out these 2 methods of tucking your tops, in this example a mid length sweater🔥

1) reverse French tuck or back tuck, I LOVE how the v shape makes a waisted look that looks flattering

2) side fold-over- I do this a lot with my tshirts to get a snatched waist effect and especially love it here with a belt.

Which one do you like?!

(And that’s perfectly okay by the way!) Well, if possible, it is best to choose tops that sit at, or as close as possible, to your hip line, regardless of your stature. This may indeed mean altering longer tops to suit your particular vertical proportions. Alternatively, if you wish to wear a longer top or blouse/shirt and leave it untucked you can: - pair with a more fitted bottom garment, such as slimline pants, - look for shirts/blouses with curved hemlines and shorter side seams to create vertical emphasis, and a less b What To Wear With Striped Pants, How To Style A Tunic Top, Shirt Too Wide Hacks, How To Tuck In Shirt With Belly, How To Wear Wide Leg Pants Plus Size, No Tuck In Outfit Women, Untucked Shirt Outfit, How To Tuck A Blouse, How To Make A Long Shirt Shorter
