Imperial Airways Short Scylla (G-ACJK). 'Syrinx' seen landing at Croydon 1935, served with the airline until its merger into BOAC in 1939. It was taken out of service the following year. Imperial Airways used the Short Scylla which could carry upto 39 passengers for scheduled flights from London Croydon to Paris and other European cities. Two aircraft were built, Scylla (G-ACJJ) and pictured here Syrinx (G-ACJK). Both served with the airline until its merger into BOAC in 1939 and both were taken out of service the following year.
