Below are a selection of knitted samples which I have subsequently affected using a variety of techniques and materials... Textured yarn dripped with white latex... Plain knitted sample with a transfer paper printed image on top... Two dubied knitted samples hand felted together... Smashed Porcelain pieces encased in a knitted sample and tied with yarn... Knitted sample with bleach... a loosely knitted textured sample hand felted... Knitted sample covered in clear latex...

Below are some of my preferred knitted samples which I feel really express the ideas within my theme. They articulate the notions of distortion and fragmentation well due to the stripes appearing upset and distressed. I have combined a variety of yarns which I feel work best in sample 1, and will perhaps experiment with further. The samples mainly consist of the holding technique and deliberately laddered areas knitted with a contrast of fine and thicker textured yarns. 1 2 3 4
