This is a full tutorial (including lessons learned) on how to paint appliances. We had to get a new washing machine, but didn't want to pay for a new dryer when ours worked perfectly fine. The problem was, they didn't match. No worries. For less than $10, we were able to paint our dryer to match the washer... and the process was pretty easy. Nate Long on Instagram: "Do you have a washer/dryer combo that is an unsightly color? Instead of handing over thousands for a new combo you can paint them for $20!

We started by taking photos of all the controls and taking off the LG badges. This is so we can make new labels and add the badges back in for a more finished look. Start by sanding with 220grit sandpaper lightly to give the paint some adhesion. Then we did two coats of primer and two coats of paint. We used an enamel based spray paint out of a rattle can. For the color coat we used something with a slight metallic to it for a nice factory look. We finished off by using a label maker to re apply new labels for the controls.
