Alexandra Harper on Instagram: "Crate and Barrel look for less! DIY antique ornaments that are perfect for a holiday centerpiece! Details below 👇🏼

Materials used:
-cheap plastic ornaments
-“Snow Tex” it’s $8 from hobby lobby or amazon
-any metallic paint but I think spray paint works best

Using a glove, coat the ornaments with the Snow Tex (or any sort of hard compound will do- anything that leaves a texture when dried) let dry and then paint! I also took the ornament caps off and sprayed them all metallic gold so they look cohesive. 🎄

- remove the ornament topper and spray ‘looking glass’ spray paint inside the ball. Swirl to evenly coat the inside.
- spray 2 spritzes of a 50/50 vinegar/water solution, and swirl. This will react with the spray paint and cause bubbling.
-point a hairdryer inside the ornament. Notice how this will make the spray paint shrink and form interesting patterns on the inside of the ball. I like to continue swirling the ornament while doing this so that the paint evenly disperses before drying. Be sure to move the hairdryer around so that you don’t melt the ornament (I melted a couple, lol).
-spray bronze spray paint inside the ornament and swirl around to coat. This will fill in any unpainted gaps, and provide contr Paint Filled Ornaments, Filled Ornaments, Looking Glass Spray Paint, Glass Spray Paint, Bronze Spray Paint, Paint Christmas, Christmas Classroom Door, Rub N Buff, Christmas Diy Decor
