By engaging the tibialis anterior muscle, these exercises promote balanced muscle strength around the knee joint. To perform: stand with your back against a wall, feet hip-width apart, and knees slightly bent. Lift feet off the ground, flexing it upward towards your shin while keeping your heel on the ground. Hold briefly, then lower your foot back down. Maintain proper posture throughout. Incorporating this exercise into your routine helps improve lower limb alignment and supports overall knee health. Janet Osborne on Instagram: "Hey friends 💕 Let’s talk posture and Wall Angels 😇   I will be the first to admit I struggle with this exercise too, but it doesn’t mean we should give up.   If you’re like me and can’t quite get into a perfect wall angel don’t worry, here are 3 exercises to help you build up to it plus some modifications to make it more accessible .  1. Seated overhead reach X 10 2. Half knee chest opener X 10 3. Prone swimmer X 10 4. Wall Angels X 10  If you are very tight in the shoulders and cannot keep them against the wall, it is OK to begin the exercise with the elbows and arms slightly forward off the wall.  As you progress, you can work towards getting your shoulders back and then the elbows, and then the hands against the wall.
