Chapter 4. Scout finds gum in a tree in the Radley lot and chews it but Jem warns her that she needs to gargle to wash out the flavor. They also find pennies in a box. Scout and Jem are excited for summer to begin because that means Dill is coming home. He comes home and they begin to play, and roll Scout in a tire down the hill. She rolls the tire into the Radley yard and gets nauseous and dizzy on the sidewalk. Jem has to retrieve the tire from the yard.
