We decided to elope because we wanted to spend our special day doing things that we enjoyed. We went fishing in the morning and caught trout, had mimosas at our campsite before the ceremony, and ended the night eating burgers and s’mores around our fire. And I wouldn’t change a thing.

We dated for three and a half years, before he proposed. He proposed on his 30th birthday (which he says was the only day he could have surprised me) in the pasture on our ranch as we were feeding cattle. I designed the ring using stones that had been passed down in his family.
