Yellow Ware ~ Stoneware

Antique, vintage kitchen wares (bowls, pitchers, mugs, moulds), pantry & home display & decor ideas. Earthenware named after its yellow appearance given to it by the clay used, but the glaze can be other colors. Originating in the UK in the late 18th-century it was also produced in the eastern US from the late 1820s. Makes for a beautiful usable farmhouse or primitive collection; with the neutral tones, minimal lines & simple bands it looks lovely too in the modern kitchen. Other stoneware too.
