Thanks for checking out this page! This is where I’m going to keep info about my Hatchetfield OCs, mostly to be self indulgent and talk about them somewhere but it’s super neat if you are here checking it out too!

Annika “Ani” Bennett

Ani’s Pinterest mood board (growing)

Ani is a teenager at Hatchetfield High, she has no set in stone age, just almost always 18 (think how Rick Riordan talks about Percy its basically that). She’s shy, keeps to herself, the type to blend into a crowd. Her mom was adopted by the Chasity family, making her Mark’s stepsister. Despite being related to the Chasity family, Ani doesn’t like to associate herself with them, especially Grace. People think her and Grace are alike but they are not, just they share a religion and a family and that’s it. Other students will call her a nerdy prude in the same vein they call Grace but it’s different, Ani isn’t abstinent or waiting until marriage, she’s asexual. She wants to date but everyone thinks she’s holding out because of religion and not sexuality, they think she’s a weirdo like Grace, and Grace thinks she’s just a lesbian (she’s biromantic). Because of this outcast and lack of socialization, she is fairly socially awkward.

Annika’s religious upbringing has made her a rule follower, she is not one to rebel, but will if needed in the most dire of circumstances. She is kind, she genuinely wants to help other people even if they would not return the favor. Her beliefs have not made her malicious or hateful, she does not like her extended family for that reason. She is respectful of others and understands her way of life is not for everybody. Despite this she is very judgey, its hard for her to get over her first impression of people and that can make her prejudice at times.

She is fairly nervous and paranoid, believing people are just as capable of doing bad as they are good. She wants to see the best in people but she knows that the world can also be cruel. Ani knows Hatchetfield is a strange place with unexplained events, so she remains on edge, lest she be the next person to disappear.

Maggie Atwood

Maggie’s Pinterest mood board (growing)

Maggie is a 24 year old with a troubled past. She escaped an attempted kidnapping and religious sacrifice by the hands of the Church of Starry Children at age 14, killed her kidnapper, but not without him leaving a trace. She received a huge gash on her cheek which has now scarred. Her dad helped her hide the body and they’ve never spoken what happened to anyone else. She is extremely close to her father and has no relationship with her mother, they separated after the incident. From her past she had formed a standoffish attitude, she does not easily open up to others and it’s hard for her to make friends.

She works at The Birdhouse as a bartender and lives in a shitty apartment with her roommate, Skud. She doesn’t have many ambitions and sees no end goal for herself, she’s just trying to get by day by day. She’d like to leave Hatchetfield, but stays for her dad who can’t afford to leave, its not like she could afford to either.

Her experiences with Hatchetfield have led her to start a true crime podcast “Hatchetfield Happenings”, she does not know what organization or any specific people that were involved in what happened to her, but she’s hoping her research can help her uncover it. Maggie knows there’s something wrong with Hatchetfield, and she needs to find out. On the side she studies town history and witchcraft, trying to figure out what exactly is going on with the town.

Skyler Vega

Skyler’s Pinterest mood board (growing)

Skyler is currently in development, more info will be added later.

Skyler is a teenager at Sycamore High. They have a touch of the gift that presents itself as invisibility powers, but they can only use one at a time (no being invisible while making a force field, gotta choose one or the other.) They are a Roller Rink fighter and their match name is The Ghost. They met their girlfriend Sophia (Spitfire) through the program.
