Reminder, analytical AI and generative AI aren’t the same. While I loathe generative AI and feel there is no ethical way to use it at this time, analytical AI can serve valuable purposes in many fields.
That’s the difference I’ve been trying to put my finger on.
I’d applaud AI being used for something like this.
legitimately my first feminist awakening as a ten year old child was realizing that girls were expected to respect “boy stuff” but boys were never expected to respect “girl stuff”
my science fair project in fifth grade was basically i had this printout of a bunch of toys that were stereotypically boy toys and girl toys, and i would have my classmates study the sheet for some short period of time, idr if it was like 30 seconds or a minute or whatever, then put it away and had them recall to me as many toys as they could remember. my hypothesis was officially that boys would remember more boy toys and girls would remember more girl toys, but secretly in my head i knew that girls would probably remember boy toys and girl toys relatively equally but boys would still remember mostly boy toys. and that ended up being the case. and i still remember this 20 years later because it hasn’t fucking stopped. and you know what they didn’t even like my project. participation ribbon. i was a fifth grade feminist theorist and no one cared
yes, this is the one universe that Jean lives in.
and yes, that means it’s the only one where Jeremy finds his soulmate.
it’s also the only one where Cat finds her literal ride or die best friend.
and the only one where Laila has someone else to connect with over missing roots.
it’s the only one where Cody is so appreciated for something as small as sharing fruit.
or Derek and and Derrick have someone to call “lil bro.”
it’s the only one where Xavier is accepted by a stranger without question.
it’s the only one where Tanner has such a cool mentor, even if he’s rough around the edges.
and the only one where Kevin doesn’t have to live as the only member of the perfect court.
it’s the only one where Neil would willingly go back to the state he buried his mother in.
it’s the only one where Renee gives up her cross to a friend as a string of faith.
plus the only one that Rhemann is seen as a father and not just a coach.
and it’s the only one where Jab gets adopted by a family that will love him.
Jean Moreau is as infinite as he is wonderful.
he’s the boy who didn’t want to live, but Nora asked him to anyway. and god, is he.
he’s more of a miracle than he’ll ever realize.
Everytime i think about them meeting again i get the butterflies in my stomach. What will they talk about, what will they show each other, how long will their conversation be? I would love nothing more than to watch them simply speak.
Do you guys think Kuma ever told sabo about Nika when he was young? It makes me so emotional imagining sabo realizing his younger brother is the warrior of liberation he’s heard about this whole time. Ugh.
UGH.

Because folks liked my latest pigeon comic so much, here’s another pigeon piece!
I made this a couple years ago for a sadly now defunct publication called Pipe Wrench. I hope this piece helps spread more pigeon love.
