Shadow jumped when the pot he was hiding behind was lifted up. His eyes darted around, he needed to find a spot to hide and fast, but there wasn’t anything around him! He just hoped that the giant wouldn’t spot—

“Uh…”

Slowly, Shadow tilted his head up, and saw the giant staring at him. He froze. Eyes locked directly into the giant’s ginormous green irises. They shared a long similar look of shock, but obviously the giant didn’t share Shadow’s fear and horror. Shadow could only silently pray that the giant would just walk away, pretend he wasn’t here.

The giant darted his eyes away for just a second before locking them back onto the tiny black hedgehog that was standing on his table. He had an odd look of confusion, a look that also made Shadow confused.
