can we talk about miss huang though. can we talk about eustice huang. can we talk about “your bed will be moved from your parents’ home” can we talk about her literally having to smash her toy (on milchick’s orders!!!) can we talk about her finally stating to show some sympathy for the innies. can we talk about her witnessing dylan fill out the resignation form and the last thing he says being telling her it isn’t her fault. can we talk about her waiting on the curb all alone like it’s a school bus. can someone save this poor child
Yeah let’s also talk about how Dylan is the only one to show her sincere age-appropriate concern, to ask her if she’s ok, to wonder if she’s being forced to be there. Dylan whose entire world suddenly made sense when he found out he had kids. Dylan who will never ever meet those kids because Lumon is dangling them just out of reach forever.
Everyone else sees her and reacts with condescending outrage (“why are you a child” = “why am I being asked to be subordinate to a child?”). But Dylan? Dylan is the only severed staff and possibly the only Lumon employee ever to look at her and say “shouldn’t she be at the playground?”
And now she’s got to help him fill out his assisted suicide paperwork.
