aka Louis and Harry have been roommates for four years, comfortable in their routine and their relationship. But all of that is about to change.

Harry was so fixated upon the boy across from him, who was staring right back with his mouth now hanging open, he’d missed it when Niall bounded back towards him and grabbed the lunch before popping a kiss on his cheek and leaving again. The kiss snapped Harry out of his daze and he let out a breathy laugh as the pretty boy walked out furthermore, closing his door behind him. He gave Harry a small smile back, raising his eyebrows in amusement while looking down past Harry’s waist and then back up.

or the one where Harry and Louis are neighbors and there's a lot of overthinking, misunderstandings, Backstreet Boys sing-alongs, embarrassing moments in the hallway, and pining. They somehow still make it work.

As a plane crash investigator, Louis has handled his fair share of strange cases, but something is different about the crash of British Airways flight BA278.

Crashed into the Brecon Beacons, over the Pen Y Fan mountain, very few survived.

One of them being the pilot, Harry Styles.

While evidence is pointing to a pilot error, something isn't adding up with Harry's story and Louis is determined to figure out what exactly happened that night and why Harry isn't all that keen to prove his own innocence.

"Do you know him?" Louis asks.

"Yeah. Harry's my best friend," Niall says, rubbing his face as he drops the file. "I knew he had a flight today, but I didn't think - or well, I hoped that it wasn't this one. Hoped it would have been a later one."

"That's why you wanted to come to the interviews with me." Realisation dawns on Louis and he looks at Niall, assessing his face. "I don't know if you should be involved in this investigation."

"No, please, Lou. I need to." Niall looks at him, his eyes pleading and watery. "Harry always flies with James. As soon as I saw the name on this file, I knew that one would be Harry's." Niall rubs his eyes. "I promise, I won't let my friendship get in the way."

"And if it turns out it was pilot error-"

"It won't. Harry's a good pilot," Niall says, voice clipped as he looks at Louis. "I know Harry, I trained with him."

Louis sighs. "I know you know him, but Niall. That's why it's not going to be a good idea. Especially for the interviews."

Niall looks at Louis, a frown forming on his face. "Louis-"

"No, Niall. I've decided. You're going to stay here, you can do the behind the scenes work. But I can't let you do the interviews, you're too close to the investigation."
