I’m writing to you about the recent Supreme Court Ruling which declares that trans women do not meet the legal definition of woman, and that “woman” is legally a “biological woman”, but which does not explain what “biological woman” entails.
As a [cis woman, this ruling leaves me less safe, emboldens violent bigots to potentially assault me because of physical features which do not meet their definition of womanhood, and places my transgender friends/family at even higher risk]/ [cis man, this ruling leaves my female friends both cis and trans less safe than they were previously]/ [trans person, this now leaves me at risk of assault every time I attempt to partake in normal public life such as shopping, eating in a restaurant, or going to work].
It is not based in science, and it is noteworthy to me that no transgender people were allowed to give evidence in support of their own legal identities. It aligns the UK not with the forerunners in human rights but with regressive regimes which our Governments, past and present, have rightfully denounced.
I am writing to you today to say that this ruling is politically motivated, prejudiced, and liable to fall in the European Court of Human Rights where it is almost certainly to be taken next, and to ask you to consider refusing to support any further attempts to exclude trans women from public life and basic human rights.
advice i think we should tell children is that when adults say stuff like ‘now that i’m an adult i get really excited about stuff like coffee tables and bathrooms and rugs etc’ they don’t mean ‘and now i don’t care about blorbo and squimbus from my childhood tv shows anymore’ bc your average adult still loves all the same pop culture stuff they always did; they just have a greater appreciation for the mundane as well. growing up just means you can enjoy life twice as much now. you can get really excited about a new stuffed animal AND about a new kitchen sponge. peace and love

1) The bill mandating a strict code of ethics for SCOTUS needs a yes vote.
2)Bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia home. Jess Craven has great scripts for your phone calls.
3)Vote no on Bill HR1526. This bill states no court in the US can tell Trump and the Executive Branch what to do. It is the final nail in the coffin of democracy and will complete the transition to full dictatorship.
4) Vote no on the Save Act.

Trump is in clear violation of the Constitution, which the Senator/Congressmember has taken an oath to protect and uphold. If the government can bypass courts for Abrego Garcia, they can potentially do it to any of us. We are in a Constitutional crisis. What is the Senator/Congressmember doing about it?
[If GOP add:] If the Senator/Congressmember won’t act to uphold our constitutional rights then they should resign. And shame on them.
[If Dem add:] I understand that Senator Chris Van Hollen has announced that if Kilmar is not home by midweek he plans to travel to El Salvador to check on his condition and discuss his release. EVERY DEMOCRAT should be saying the same.
If your lawmaker’s staffer says “but he is a criminal/gang member” you can say “first of all, that’s false and your office shouldn’t be spreading lies. He’s been neither accused nor convicted of any crimes in the U.S. or in El Salvador. Would you like me to send you the article debunking that misinformation? There are several. And even if he were a criminal, he’s still entitled to due process, which isn’t optional in America—it’s guaranteed.
If they say “he’s not a citizen” you can say: He was here legally. Let me read to you from the Supreme Court’s ruling: The United States has acknowledged that Abrego Garcia was subject to a withholding order forbidding his removal to El Salvador, and that the removal to El Salvador was therefore illegal,“ The Justice Department acknowledged the removal was the result of an “administrative error.” This is very cut and dried. He needs to be returned to the U.S.
If they say “the President no longer has jurisdiction over this. El Salvador needs to do it,” say: “So Donald Trump is admitting that he’s weaker than the President of El Salvador? That’s pathetic. It’s also not true. If we could extract Kristi Noem from that prison we can extract an innocent man. We need to do so now.”
I just think its weird we live in a world where graphic murder depicted on television/internet is fine and shows glorifying serial killers is okay but showing a tiddie or a vagina is as bad as telling Jesus to fuck himself

considered myself agnostic but i just had an anonymous message calling me homophobic for making most of my characters bisexual disappear in front of my eyes upon reading it and that HAD to be god sending them directly to hell
