A: The first thing that comes to mind is that aeration would be for water, dirt, etc: one forces air through the water to aerate it, or uses a tool to poke holes in the dirt (or completely turn the dirt over) to get air into it. "Ventilation" would be to get fresh air into a room or a space generally, like an airplane cabin, i.e., new air is replacing other air.

A: Instead say "This is aerated because saltwater fish need more oxygen than freshwater fish." Very close, you just used the wrong tense for "aeration". :) Good job!
