it is with great sorrow /j that I replace my pinned PDF post with a little directory so people looking for crab info can find it easily.

you will live to witness manmade horrors that are completely within your comprehension if you’ve paid any attention to a single piece of human history but are nevertheless still huge bummers
i’ve never owned any consoles even as an adult who could theoretically afford one because, like, I can justify the cost of the console, but then I think about having to spend $60+ for every game I want to play and I’m immediately out. not interested. goodbye
coming from someone who used to sweat buckets over saving and spending 45 bucks on a new video game as a teenager i cannot fucking believe nintendo has the audacity to charge 90 (ninety) (as many as nine tens, and that’s terrible) mother fucking dollars for their new games. if i had a 90 dollar game on my christmas list as a kid my mom would have broken me in half
Listen, folks, I also hate generative AI and do not think it is an effective accomodation, but if your argument against it is “Oh, you think [task] is hard? What a stupid idiot baby!” then I’m sorry to say that is Literally Just Ableism. Please think about what you are saying. The point should be that it doesn’t actually work to solve the problems that people are struggling with, not that they’re wrong for struggling in the first place.
Multiple people in the notes proudly saying “I’m only ableist to people I assume aren’t disabled!” Wild thought: what if you just didn’t say ableist things to anyone?
I like how boycotting Target is becoming like, a reoccurring thing done for opposing political reasons
Quick what are you doing RIGHT now (besides scrolling Tumblr)
what if people over a certain height had a special currency called tall coins that short people didn’t know about. And one day you’re walking with your friend (huge) and she drops something and you pick it up and say what is this and she says oh that’s my tall coin don’t worry about it. But you did worry

Tbh a lot of times this is so there’s no record of what was discussed to refer to later. If someone ever insists on a call, send a follow-up email summarizing the call and ask for confirmation it’s correct or clarification if it isn’t
Lmao yeah. at my old job I designed a set of banners for an affordable housing/financial assistance for first-time home buyers event in a majority-black neighborhood in my city. each of the banners was going to show an image of a family doing cute family things in a house, so I found the perfect set of stock photos all from the same series of a black family doing all the things I wanted to show (reading bedtime stories, parents helping the kids with homework, cooking together, etc). my manager (who almost never called me directly– she always gave feedback via our project management site) called me up to ask “hii I had a question, why are all the families* black? :)”. VERY obvious that she didn’t want to put her request to change that in writing.
*again it was ONE family, the same people in all the photos, she was just uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. yeah.
Behold the pocket-sized western pygmy possum! (Cercartetus concinnus). One of the world’s smallest possums, this species typically weighs just 0.5 oz (14 g)—the size of an AA battery. This dainty marsupial is a nectarivore, meaning that its diet consists primarily of plant nectar. It inhabits treetops in forests throughout parts of Australia, using its long prehensile tail like a fifth limb as it moves from branch to branch.
