Description

Sinner

Trip is an anthro racoon and a non transitioned transman. He has dark markings around his eyes that look like a robber's mask, his eyes being a bright purplish pink, and darker hands/feet. He also has darker stripes along his large and puffy tail. His light purplish pink fur feels like fake fur, with a gray zipper on his tail as if it were a purse. He has the same teeth as a raccoon with noticeable canines at the front of his upper and lower jaw. They're slightly yellow. The fur at the top of his head is brushed forward in tufts.

He enjoys wearing dresses, oversized hoodies, skirts, and stylish jumpsuits. His shoes are usually colorful tennis shoes/sneakers, flats, or, on a rare occasion, heels.

Human

He was viewed as a tan white woman with freckles and short blond hair, the bangs often brushed forward. His eyes were hazel and his eyebrows were thin. He had full, rosy cheeks and a long nose bridge, his nose described as sculpted yet soft.

Personality

He does his best to come off as confident, bold, and mature. He presents his life as glamorous, with a keen interest in fashion and always looking his best. Yet, Trip is actually quite shy, playful, and mischievous when he's around loved ones. He adores playing pranks on others, but only those who enjoy it.

He also enjoys making new outfits, doing his makeup, testing out Mel's recipes or helping them come up with new ones, listening and singing to music, and hogging all the warm shower water!

Power

Not only can the zipper on his tail be summoned or dismissed, but his tail can hold an infinite number of objects! The metal of the zipper also burns whoever touches it without his consent.

Past (tw murder, abuse, homophobia, transphobia)

During his time alive, Trip lived in New York city as a part of a crime family, mainly focused on stealing valuables from wealthy households in the area. They'd sneak into houses in the middle of the night, and take whatever valuables they could find. Those who got in the way became victims. They moved house a lot to avoid detection, that and his family's unexplained wealth being the first red flags Trip noticed during his childhood. Not to mention his father's "unexplained" disappearance. He was taken into the business when he was a teenager, following in the footsteps of his older brother. His mother was notably abusive, physically and mentally, along with his family being homophobic and transphobic.

Around the time he started having romantic encounters with a woman, his family began to suspect that he was gay. He'd just had an argument with his older brother on the matter, and was extremely upset when he "tripped" out the second story window during a job, landing straight on his neck. Yet, he still managed to hold onto his bag during that entire fall! It's no wonder his tail is the way that it is. I personally theorize his older brother is the one who pushed him, though whether he intended to outright kill Trip or not is difficult to tell.

In Hell, he moved into the apartments so he'd no longer have to live with his boss and ex boyfriend, Saccharin. That one is a real piece of work, but we'll get to him later.

Relationships (tw abuse, torture)

Trip is Mel's boyfriend, and in a queerplatonic relationship with Lee. He also enjoys teasing Growler, flirting with Satan, is very good friends with Leona and Damon, and typically avoids me. I believe he has strong feelings for Cor, though not romantic, even if he won't say it. He used to heavily judge Brutus, but has grown to understand some of his perspectives. Since Brutus' fall, he's stopped Brutus from making rash decisions in Hell, and was originally the only one willing to put up with him. He avoids Lyre, finding her intimidating. He's protective of Brook, finding her a bit naïve towards the nature of sinners. He works with Saccharin, who is abusive towards him, though does not harbor the same fear towards Cor or Queen. Oh that Saccharin would be a delight to "play" with, let me tell you.

Lee takes his first step towards living in Hell by getting a new wardrobe, feeling more like a part of the group thanks to the trip.

Y'all, can victims just enjoy comfort characters similar to them without the fandom freaking out about effectively treating a victim like any other character? You know, like they should be? Like obviously what they've been through should be recognized, but othering the character just shows how willing people are to other real life victims.

For real. I think some people seriously need to be sat down so it can be explained to them that “respect” does not come in the form of othering people. If you (using this in a general sense here) feel you have to walk on eggshells concerning victims in media, I fear to see how y'all would treat actual victims.

His eyes are records, and his eyebrows are record needles, which play his eyes anytime he speaks. His personality is sassy with a threatening edge, and he tends to keep people distant through being difficult to work with/being just the right amount of scathing.
