We moved forward with staining the wood in a black stain that still shows the grain beautifully while allowing texture and creating a bold statement! (See the close up in the reel😍) We are calling this space the creative studio! The dividers, doors and glass will provide just enough privacy for someone to focus without loosing the natural light! 1️⃣ Secret door to bathroom
I actually really really love the idea of secret doors, super cool!! But I think it's not the best idea to have one for the bathroom because moisture will be trapped inside and lead to mould growth. Unless you keep the door open when not in use, but that defeats the whole purpose of having a secret door right? 😂

2️⃣ Wardrobe in middle of room
Again, another really cool idea to have a makeshift "walk-in wardrobe" without sacrificing one whole room. But having a full-height wardrobe right in the middle of the room will hinder wind and light flow, which might make the wardrobe area feel musty.

It’s fixed to the top of the door and only visible when it’s open. When it’s closed the magnet on the door hits the back of the top horizontal batton where the magnet closer is fixed. Q: Do you have a door frame? A: No, we used the design and position of battons to act as a door stop and conceal the door when closed. Having a batton at the top means there is no light or gap visible when the door is closed. Q:What type of hinges? A: We used hinges off an existing door- they are heavy duty and allow the door to open 360 degrees. The most important part is the position of hinges- they need to ensure the door sits flush with the wall.
