DIY Furniture Makeover: Transforming an Old Plastic Bin

I just took an old plastic bin and wiped it down. Then I spray painted the outer parts first with a metallic/gold then got a spray paint gold glitter and put that over it. Glitter desk! I used a base coat spray paint. I used a lilac color. I purchased loose glitter from walmart and put a thick layer on top. If you do it outside make sure you pick a day with no wind. Then I added polyurethane. I used oil based which is said to have some yellowish tones, but it worked ok for me. I would say for white glitter use water based.
