Even though I liked Beth's idea (in the comments yesterday) to make the last block lime green, that would have meant pulling out at least 16 pieces of lime fabric to cut one strip off and I already had black scraps ready to cut into strips. "Memories - 1956" is finished, just a couple months after I made the quilt top. The gray dotted fabric is a Kaffe Fassett fabric, "Spot", the pinks are Kaffe's and Tula Pink's fabrics. It is 64.5" x 76.5". The backing fabric is by Kaffe Fassett also. The batting is Hobbs 80/20 and it was quilted by my longarm friend, Robin. I cut all of the strips for the next 13 blocks and sewed them yesterday. The blocks will finish at 8" so this would be 40" x 56" at this point. It would take 13 more blocks to add one more row in both directions for a quilt 48" x 64", still pretty small. I have to decide how much I love making these blocks to see where this goes.
