I will try to attempt to share with you the love I have developed for the foxes living in the dunes on the coast of the Netherlands, and the joy I experience in photographing them. I know that red foxes aren't afraid to swim at all. They're actually pretty good swimmers. I've heard plenty stories about foxes crossing a river or lake. I did see them drink and occasionally wade through shallow water, but in all those years I never never ever saw one swim. Until this spring, I suddenly noticed a fox walking towards the water.
