When I saw this photo of Katie Holmes at an event in NYC yesterday, my immediate reaction was "It's Joey Potter meets Kate Middleton!" With her low-key denim jacket, super-natural makeup, and little crooked smile, Katie looks very circa Dawson's Creek (/pre-Mrs. Tom Cruise).
