Judy A. Steiner on Instagram: "March 8 prompt is: “Pan Pastels”. I’m doing the @gelliarts March into Art, “OUR FAVORITE PROMPTS”. I don’t have pan pastels, so I just used my stick pastels. I drew my image, carefully shook off excess dust, and pressed my clean gelli plate to the pastel image. When you pull off the paper you have a wonderful transfer on your gel plate, plus you still have your original drawing on the paper! I added lines, let them dry, then rolled on a coat of paint to pull the whole print. Art for Wellbeing on Instagram: "Scratching into oil pastel 🌿 For this technique we put down a layer of light green oil pastel, then covered it with a dark orange oil pastel (putting dark over light seems to work better for this technique) then scratched away the orange layer with a skewer stick!
