People who victimize themselves

Being a victim is sometimes convenient. It takes the pressure off us. It's easy to say "well they do this and this is why I'm like this or act like that." A mentality like that allow you to use as many excuses as possible. It's a whole different ball game to say "they did this or that but I have a life to live and I can't let their wrong keep me from doing what is right for me and what is right period." It requires too much maturity and accountability.

It is very common for a narcissist to gaslight a victim when he or she is becoming too powerful or threatening to them. Narcissists shame and police victims who stand up for themselves, who set boundaries, and dare to be visible and authentic. Narcissists would prefer you be quiet, compliant, and contort yourself for their comfort. Solution? Continue setting boundaries, slaying, expressing your authentic self, standing up for yourself, and removing toxic people from your life.

So true !!! I've known people who always act innocent and play victims when deep down they know they have hurt people . I would never want to be like this if I did something I own up to it and asks for forgiveness .Playing a victim and innocent is not fooling God.

They will mistreat you, act like the victim, and make others believe it’s your fault.
