I have seen to date many tutorials showing how to make "realistic" faux turquoise. Most of them involve breaking turquoise-colored clay in small pieces, then coating the pieces with various media in the black and gold colors, then pressing the pieces together to form a lump. The resulting faux turquoise pieces look decent but still are not looking real enough.
