3) Rhythm — Flowing ; the design in this picture is simple and consists of a pattern of lines. However, these lines appear wavy and have a certain shape and structure to them, hence creating the illusion of the design moving. Due to that, this picture demonstrates the flowing rhythm principle.

Rhythm in art is important because it can make a piece more interesting to look at. It might be the lines, or colors that create this rhythm. A lot of times we see patterns and rhythms in nature - like waves crashing on the beach, trees swaying in the breeze, and shadows created by sunlight passing through leaves.
