We stacked two 30 inch uppers on top of a “cabinet drawer” on both sides of our range. But the “drawer” is really a 9 inch upper cabinet turned on its side! We just built a box, removed the hinges, and turned the doors into drawer fronts. Minimal cost, huge impact!”

Since this is my first time, I’ll be focusing on the learning how to build bookcases and making it look high end with custom trim, so I decided I would start with prefab cabinets for the base. These are upper cabinets from @homedepot and although I needed to add a base and eventually we’ll have to figure out how to attach them to the wall, they are better than starting from scratch.
