i wanted to ask what happened to # THEM in chapter 3????? especially: what was going on on hyucks mind after the date?? why was he so sudden with the ily?! i really didn’t see it coming omg this boy..
also, i understand the fear she felt after all of what they went through, but i feel like she didn’t express it so explicitly? maybe i was expecting her to be combative or even harsh on him? like, detail her thoughts and why she was rejecting him? it felt abrupt and so bittersweet — LOVE the angst! — the way that everything ended for them that night since things are always dense and cloudy in their relationship.. really love them to death :’(((
maybe this is something i’m anticipating and you planned on showing at the epilogue, but could you talk about it a little bit more? where were their minds at that moment? my beloved little things.. hope they’re doing well as well 😭

hyuck’s love for her has been building up for a long time actually since the first time he realised he really fucked up and hurt her (so start of part 2)…however it’s such a confusing feeling to fall in love especially when he’s so used to flings (with girls who don’t really care about getting to know the other side of him/continue seeing him) to meet someone who challenges him to step up and take care of them - that forces him out of his usual callousness and cruelty and bring out that part he usually only reserves for his family and close friends. it really fucked him up and he didn’t know how to handle it and he just kept falling deeper and deeper. i wanted to write more scenes of them just talking and interacting - but that date was the first time they’ve really met in an explicitly romantic context, and it gave him a taste of something he wanted to have forever. so he jumped the gun!!!! (it was also a product of him waiting so long to do something about it…he just couldn’t let it sit for any longer # clairo bags core)
and she likes him so much as well and she’s so attached but she is so so so scared….in the second part she wants to hold on to him so she suggests fwb, and when that doesn’t work out in the third part she starts seeing him less and starts trying to remove herself, but when someone you love comes to you in such a vulnerable way it’s really hard not to cave - because you could never hate them…. not really… but ultimately she’s still slipping back into old patterns of taking care of him and she doesn’t want to recreate the past because she doesn’t deserve that kind of volatile situation again </3 sometimes it really just does end after seeing each other again for the first time, properly, in a while, in the way you’ve wanted to since the day you met them — and you realise you could still want it so much you’ll never be able to live with it in your life without having it fully.
i get quite a lot of asks asking me why she’s different from the others and why he likes her and i think…yes she does love him different and it’s a strange situation they’re in but also — love kind of just works in mysterious ways 🙏🏻 you find yourself drawn to certain people and whether you call it a product of a past life or fate there is that special quality of having someone be different to you for no particular concrete reason - not necessarily because they’re prettier or more clever or even because they love you better. its just a precarious and special thing of two people finding each other at that specific time and place, just enough for them to get to know each other❤️🩹
