April | Home & DIY on Instagram: "Sunroom Series Part 2: The Long Awaited Stained Concrete Tutorial (merely a year later) 🤪 Here’s the short of it: I used a WRC water based (not acid) stain on non-etched “garage” type floors. This doesn’t exactly follow the rules but they still look great a year later! I cleaned my floors using a concrete specific cleaner, a hose, and a wet vac. We laid out our pattern by putting down chalk lines 32 inches apart, being mindful of where we wanted the pattern centered. Then I alternated marking out 24 and 8 inch segments on each chalk line (24+8=32, this method is scalable) then I used my longest level to connect the dots at 45° angles. After my pattern was drawn out, I used frog tape to mask off the squares since I was only staining the rectangles.
