Nichole Ciotti on Instagram: "Here’s a simple tutorial for the iconic Pamela Anderson-inspired messy bun. It focuses on volume, texture, and a playful, undone look 💁‍♀️

Section out your face-framing, if desired. Gather your hair into a high ponytail and secure it with a stretchy hair tie. On the final pull through, flip your ponytail forward and pull it out in the back to create an upside down bun with your ends sitting on top of your head. Pull the bun apart and begin loosely pinning to create the look you want. Lightly mist a texture spray throughout the bun for extra volume and hold. Tame face-framing pieces with a heated round brush and styling cream, if needed.

They can be flattering and even the way the layers fall/are curled can help to slim and contour your face! Adding just a little curl can make a difference in dressing up your look!" Take the base section gather hair into a ponytail and secure with an elastic Part hair in a flattering place and leave out desired face framing before securing remaining hair with a bungee elastic. Pinch and pull any pieces to adjust. Tease the roots of ponytail in sections followed by the ends. Use a fork comb to smooth out any visible teasing. Next Wrap a small section of hair around the elastic and pin to secure. Then add pins to crown area for support.
