Guiyang

The last in our 3-part series on doing business in China, with a focus on how U.S. and foreign companies can establish a physical presence, such as a sales office or factory, in the country.

Jiaxiu Pavilion of Guiyang City is built on the Nanming River in the south of the city, with a huge stone for a base. It's a symbol of the city, and anyone who has ever been to Guiyang will climb the pavilion to see the scenery. The building was built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (1598) and the existing structure was reconstructed during the Xuan Tong period of the Qing Dynasty (1909). Huaguoyuan is located in the center of Guiyang City, it is one of the largest residential areas in China, where more than 430,000 residents live and has a complete transportation system. Huaguoyuan is the busiest business district in Guiyang, and it's also lively and noisy after midnight, which is why many visitors go there to experience the magic of Guiyang.
