I often find myself torn between wanting to stay close to city conveniences of life like where we live now and wanting to move to the middle of nowhere on 30 acres of land. My dad comes from a rural area, but moved to the city when my parents got married. So I’ve experienced the best of both worlds and I always feel like my heart belongs in both places. A Lonely Country Road, Eastern Montana

One summer evening, my husband and I got in our old truck and drove down a remote dirt road. We drove and drove and drove and didn't see a soul. I always wonder where the telephone poles go--no one seems to live out here. We explored the backroads for almost four hours and didn't see a single person.
