I have looked at lots of lego costume tutorials and I just wanted to share my shortcut: I used a 12" foam wreath cut in half to form the curved edges of the head and hot glued & taped a 9" tall piece of mat board (which was light weight but sturdy) in a tube between the wreath pieces. I think it really captured the right shape!
