And if a child retains their spinal gallant reflex, it can be incredibly uncomfortable. Whether it’s the fabric of their shirt, their tags, or they’re constantly fidgeting, these can be signs of a retained primitive reflex that needs integrating. The cool thing about integrating primitive reflexes is that you can always give the brain a second chance to go through movement patterns that were either missed or came back due to a traumatic experience.
