1. slang A criminal act, especially a theft, robbery, or heist. We all agreed to pull one last job, then get out of the business for good. I know you're just out of prison, but I've got a job lined up for you if you're interested.
2. informal An example or instance of a specific type of thing, especially a construction or product. The new library is going to be one of those fancy postmodern jobs that seem to be all the rage these days. This TV is one of those smart, always-online jobs that suggests content to you based on your viewing history.
