OG

1. noun, slang An initialism for "original gangsta" (colloquial African-American slang for "gangster"), someone who has long exhibited a tough persona based on a lifestyle associated with urban gang membership, especially as distinguished from those who have more recently adopted such a persona or lifestyle. These new kids acting all tough, man, they're posers—I'm an OG.
2. noun, slang By extension, one of the first to have done something or to have been involved with something that has continued or gained in prominence, such as a movement or industry. Bill Gates was a Silicon Valley OG. Mary's the OG of this department, so you'll have to go through her to get approval.
3. adjective, slang Describing something that is original or the first of its kind. In my opinion, the Atari 2600 is the OG gaming console. The show needs to bring back some of its OG couples, the ones who actually had chemistry and fan investment.
