good onya

informal An expression of praise, encouragement, or congratulations; well done. A colloquial Australian spelling and pronunciation of the phrase "good on you," meaning the same. Primarily heard in Australia, Ireland. A: "I finally finished writing my novel!" B: "Wow, good onya!" I heard you've been volunteering down at the homeless shelter. Good onya, mate. I saw you won that big award. Good onya!
