Fractions are my favorite third grade math topic! There are so many ways to make it interactive and visual. Today we made fraction flowers, where we partitioned a shape and shaded a fraction. The students then wrote the fraction of each color on the leaves!

I believe I got this activity on TPT as a freebie a while back. I searched and couldn’t find the author or where I got it from. If you wanted to recreate, you could easily just print out shapes for students and give them @astrobrights paper like I did to make the leaves and stem.

Hoping you had a happy Monday 🌈
