If you've ever seen mean girls, you already know exactly how conformity takes place in this movie. Katie isn't popular until she conforms and adopts the ways of "The Plastics". The Plastics are the most popular girls in school, so Katie adopts their self-centered personalities, as well as many other things, in order to become popular and more "normal" than she was first coming to the school. This is a great example of normative conformity, because Katie conforms to be liked and accepted.
